Call · Fall Circuit Retreat

Peperkorn Call to CTSFW

Those of you who are on Facebook have probably already seen this. For those of you who have not, this past Monday I received a divine call to serve as an Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Missions at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I would be teaching homiletics, pastoral care and counseling, pastoral theology and other things as need arises. I would also teach Field Education II and serve as the Director of Vicarage.

Below you will find a link to the letter I wrote to my congregation upon receipt of the Call.

I don’t know what all of this means quite yet. I am, frankly, still in a bit of shock over the whole thing. It is (as I indicated in my letter) pretty likely that I will take it. If that is the case, then Circuits 4 & 19 will need to elect a new “Pooh Bah” to serve as coordinator and scheduler, etc. Probably the most immediate need will be planning the fall Meyers Retreat on September 13-15.

If any of you have any counsel for more, I would be very happy to receive it. At coffee yesterday, there was talk about having some kind of farewell dinner before I go. So stay tuned on what that might look like.

In Christ,

Todd A. Peperkorn, STM, DMIN

Circuits 4 & 19 “Pooh Bah”

  1. Congrats! Excited for this new potential future for you! May God guide your steps and bless the path before you whether you ultimately stay with us in pastoral ministry or depart to raise up new workers for the harvest field.
